Karin Van Dael is the founder of Van Dael Translation (established 1999). After obtaining a master's degree from the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium) in French and Spanish translation, she went on to study International Economics in Toulouse (France) and obtained a postgraduate degree in business economics at the Brussels Campus of the Catholic University of Louvain. She was recently certified at the University of Ghent as a sworn translator for legal translations (civil law, criminal law, and deontological ethics for sworn translators). Sworn translators listed in the national register must be able to demonstrate that they possess, and regularly update, the legal knowledge required.
Van Dael Translation specialises in offering translations in the economic, legal and property sectors which are completely confidential and 100% tailored to the client’s needs. Karin Van Dael has more than 20 years’ experience as a translator of Dutch, French, Spanish and English and works with a core team of experienced native translators. The latest translation software is combined with an expert appreciation of language to ensure that we only offer translations of the highest quality. Quality, flexibility, and punctuality are the key drivers.
I was born and raised in Belgium, but early on felt the urge to go abroad. Because of my work in the Luxembourg banking world, we ended up in Northern France. Later I moved with my family to the South of France and then to Spain. Nowadays I live and work mostly in Spain but remain in close contact with Belgian clients through my office in Brussels. The best of both worlds!
